Internal quality attributes of chicken eggs coated with Hik (Lannea coromandelica) and Mango (Mangifera indica) wax stored at room temperature

Eggshell coating is a common practice used to improve the shelf-life of table eggs while mineral oils have been widely utilized as an effective material. Hik (Lannea coromandelica) and Mango (Mangifera indica) are tropical trees grown in dry zone Sri Lanka their wax has film-forming properties. However, information on using surface material egg quality attributes scarce yet be elucidated. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) analysis was conducted analyze structural changes albumen. Results revealed that HW MW had low weight loss (p < 0.05) than NC eggs.
